Thanks For Making It Our Biggest Record Store Day Ever!!
How do you even begin to thank everyone for the amazing support this Record Store Day?! Another one for the record books, in more ways than one. A photo album of the day’s events will be posted soon. Thank you to the thousands of customers who stopped in Saturday...you made this the biggest day in our almost 47-year history! If you didn’t keep coming to this party every year, and our shop on regular days, we wouldn’t be here.
Josh Krohn, thank you for the sweet artwork for our RSD posters, ads and t-shirt!
The bands and DJs…DJ Funsize and DJ Jake Rudh, BNLX, Greg Grease, Dosh/Ghostband, Rupert Angeleyes, They Might Be Giants and Erik Koskinen and Frankie Lee…thank you for your awesome performances and today! Thanks to our surprise performers Prairie Fire Lady Choir, Brass Messengers and Bagpiper Andrew Fox. Always good to have a few “Did that just happen?” moments in our lives. Twin Town Guitars, thanks for providing the backline for our performers this year!
So many incredible sponsors…some new and some back for another year! Thank you Peace Coffee, Glam Doll Donuts and Intelligentsia Coffee. You gave us the kick start we all needed for another Record Store Day. Thanks for your return visits, Natedogs and Hola Arepa food trucks. You are the best! Thanks, Kind Bar, for the free savory treats for shoppers all day.
Big shout out to Red Bull Sound Select for the awesome lounge and kids’ area we had set up behind the store. It was a great place for people to relax in between music sets and shopping sprees.
Dangerous Man Brewing Co. – you brewed up a special Record Store Day beer with us in mind. It doesn’t get any cooler than that. A couple giveaway winners went home with your excellent prize packs. Thank you for being such a great partner!
We also thank Sue McLean & Associates for spending the day with us again and making some hourly giveaway winners happy with concert tickets and vinyl, and Music Hall Turntables and Audioengine for their awesome prizes we’ll award on Monday.
We're grateful to our Music Hall 2.2 Turntable giveaway partners Birchwood Café, Glam Doll Donuts, Dangerous Man Brewing Co., Gear Running Store and Angry Catfish Bicycle and Coffee Bar.
A big thanks to so many venues and record labels for their killer donations for our goodie bags and hourly prizes. Many RSD fans now have bonus First Avenue, Varsity Theater, Soundset, Cabooze, Target Center and Mill City Nights gigs on their calendars.
Thanks to Red House Records and Charlie Parr for the "Over the Red Cedar" 7" singles for our shoppers too!
Finally, a massive thanks to the folks at the Record Store Day organization for all they put into this event. Let's do it again Saturday, April 16, 2016!
