Foghat continues to appeal to fans of all ages because their music is timeless. On their 17th album, and first in seven years, the English rockers take a look back to create a dedication to the blues visionaries of the past that paved the way for the “Slow Ride” quartet. In her own rendition, Chan Marshall inhabits each song with equal parts conviction and grace, ultimately transposing the anarchic tension of Dylan’s set with a warm and luminous joy.
ITS catches the cuttingly funny and slyly profound rapper at his leanest and most innovative, leveraging "Solutionism"'s careening bounce against the wistful "By the River" or the slow creep of "Salt and Pepper Squid." Originally released in 1998, Meshuggah’s 3rd album saw the band toning down some of their thrashier sounds in favor of the more technical, polyrhythmic, groove-oriented sound they would master.
